What We Do

We hold monthly Support Group Morning Teas for those living with Dementia, their carers, families and friends. This offers a very friendly, inclusive environment for sharing and meeting other people experiencing similar life-style challenges. At different times through-out the year guest speakers from service providers are invited to attend and speak to the attendees on a range of topics of interest. Other entertainment is often provided by choirs or dance groups. The Christmas Party held in December is always the highlight of the year.

Younger Onset Dementia (YOD) Support Group is a new group created to support those who have been diagnosed with dementia before the age of 65. This group is facilitated by a social worker. The format of this group is an informal coffee/tea catch up which meets on the 1st Monday of the month. The group provides peer support from others with a lived experience of Younger Onset Dementia. Information, education and advice is offered as well as links to support services and assistance with National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS) applications.

Dementia Information Sessions are held several times during the year. These sessions provide a range of information to the community about diagnosis and aspects of dementia.

We offer Face to Face appointments and phone appointments for carers and families needing information and support as they care for a loved one living with dementia.
